What do 50 artists from 25 counties aged 33 and under have in common? They are mostly Younger than Jesus. The quirky idea is one of the most dynamic of its kind with each artist having a distinct mission apart from any stylistic theme. The exhibition is currently running through June 14.

Adams gets some “work” done.
Source: bobbyneeladams.com
North Carolina’s Bobby Neel Adam’s “agemaps” are a hairbrained hybrid of two photographs of one person’s young and aged likenesses meshed together to make art collage in the simplest terms in what he calls “photo-surgery.” Other collections include studies in family, couples and historic structures.

“There is no adjusting to life. There is only adjusting to yourself. You have to look at the stars, and then look at your navel. I look forward to the time when I am thoroughly alone and yet not frightened. My work is me adjusting to myself. The only reason I find to be alive is to be electrified by everything surrounding me and to toss back the sense I’ve made of it all. We must love our own guts. I am just trying to love mine.”
From JillianGuarco.com
Jillian Guarco was someone with whom I went to middle and high school. Never in my wildest dreams could I have known the capacity of her verve-filled imagination in all its unabashed glory!

Magazines must do many things. Like all media, they must inform the reader of an intended message. They must have a targeted readership. But paramount to any of these, magazines must grab readers’ attention - without it, those glossy little pieces of paper just won’t sell.
ArtsyTime.com presents a look at the covers of the past 40 years or so withe beautiful trip down Memory Lane.
Note: There are several grammar and syntax errors on the page. However, I felt the images were worth showing.

Think of New York and what comes to mind? Is it a busy sea of people rushing to make their morning trains amid a cacophony of impetuous taxi horns - the purr of bus engines and Subway trains as they collect the hurried masses with all their daily worries and concerns? Might it be the bellows the of Wall street execs willing to sell it all for a chance at the good life? Still, it might be the church bells of the faithful heard against the prayers of thousands on a single Sunday morning. Yet, all these things and more have been staples of not only today, but also have been reflected throughout time as seen in this photo montage from Magazine 13 as the website reflects back to the turn the Twentieth Century.

Sincere apologies go to my readers for my not posting yesterday due to technical issues.
Because this particular art photographer’s work is so richly colored and illuminated, today’s featured photo segment encompasses a full collection by the brilliant Elena Kalis as her collection rides and teeters an ever-thinning line between a PBS underwater documentary and the precociously organic mind of Surrealist Salvador Dali.
(Enjoy Elena Kalis’ Underwater Fairytales)
